Experienced puzzle solvers and escape-room fans get nine real-world trials across the villa streets of Kiseleff and Aviatorilor, past Casa Doina and the Monumentul Eroilor Aerului, in about an hour and a half. Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History and finishes at Piata Victoriei, so you end up back near where you began. In between, the route follows stops through Kiseleff and Aviatorilor, including Piațeta Regelui, Casa Doina, Vila Filipescu-Brâncoveanu and Casa Auschnit.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take around an hour and a half, walking and puzzles included, over roughly 2.4 km. You do not have to do it in one go: you can pause the game and continue later from where you stopped.
Is it suitable for children?
The puzzles are rated medium to advanced and are aimed at experienced solvers, so the game suits teenagers and adults who like a real challenge. Younger children are likely to find the trials hard going unless an adult does most of the solving.
Do we need to book a time or buy anything to play as a group?
No. It is free to play and there is no time slot to book. Open the app, go to the museum whenever suits you and play together with friends or family. There is no guide and no group of strangers to join.
Is it outdoors, and what if it rains?
Yes, it is a walk through the streets, with each puzzle set in what is in front of you at the stop, so dress for the weather. Because you can pause and pick it up later, a shower does not have to end the game.
