Frequently asked questions
Is this a walking tour of Kansas City?
It is a self-guided walk of about 1.9 km through the Country Club Plaza area, passing Plaza Central Park, the Seville Light Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Court of the Penguins and several sculptures. Instead of a history talk, the app sets puzzles and dares inside a comic Christmas story.
Can we do it today, or do we need to book a time?
There is no time slot to book and no guide to meet. You start whenever suits you, today included, and the app leads you from stop to stop. If you need a break for food or warmth, you can pause and pick up where you left off later.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The walk starts and finishes at Sister City Bridge, so you end up back where you began. Plan on around 90 minutes for the 1.9 km route, though stopping to solve puzzles, complete dares or grab a hot drink can stretch it.
Is it good for kids?
It is built as a funny holiday game for groups, with Santa, Sparky and Rudolph cracking jokes, puzzles to solve and dares to complete. Kids who enjoy puzzles and silly challenges tend to get into it, while younger children will need adults to read and solve alongside them.
Can our whole family or office team play together?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest, so families, visiting relatives or coworkers on a team outing can play together without paying per person. Everyone follows the same story and works toward restarting Santa's sleigh.
