Frequently asked questions
Is this a Christmas escape room?
Not in a locked room. It is an outdoor walking game: Santa's sleigh has crash-landed, and as Ground Control you follow a trail through 12 locations in Louisville, solving puzzles, completing dares and collecting the Elements of Spirit to restart it.
Where does the Christmas scavenger hunt start, and how far is the walk?
The game begins at the Thomas Edison House, and the route also passes Lincoln Elementary Performing Arts School. The full trail covers about 2.3 km on foot, with the app leading you from one location to the next.
How long does it take, and can we take a break?
Plan on around 90 minutes, depending on how quickly your group cracks the puzzles and how long you spend on the dares. You can pause at any point, warm up somewhere, and continue later from where you stopped.
Can our family or office party play together, and do we need to book a time?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, so families, visiting relatives or coworkers can play together on their phones. There is no set time slot and no guide to meet, so you start whenever your group is ready.
Is it good for kids?
The story is light and comic, with Santa, Sparky and Rudolph guiding and joking along the way, so it suits families with school-age children. Younger kids may need help with the puzzles and with walking the 2.3 km outdoors, so dress for the weather.
