It is an outdoor escape game played on your phone, not a room with staff. The app leads you between Mannheim's statues and landmarks, tells the story of each place and sets riddles based on what is in front of you. You start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide.

It starts at Mannheim Castle and finishes at Der Löwe, so it does not end where it began. On the way you pass the Karl Friedrich statue, the Aryz Lion Mural, the Jesuit Church, the Trümmerfrauen-Denkmal, Paradeplatz, Blumepeter and the Wasserturm, among other stops.

Most players take around 90 minutes to cover the 1.8 km route, including walking and solving the puzzles. You can pause along the way and continue later, so there is no need to finish it in one go.

Is Napoleon’s Lost Lion based on a real missing artefact?
The missing-lion mission is fictional. The quest uses Mannheim and Napoleonic-era associations as a setting for an app-guided story and puzzle route.
