Athens comes alive from dawn to dusk, a city where ancient history meets electrifying nightlife. In the heart of the city, five friends plan the ultimate bachelor party, but their groom-to-be, vanishes into the city’s vibrant streets, questioning about his future. Now, it’s up to you to chase him through sunlit squares and neon-lit alleys, solving riddles that unravel his journey and Athens’ soul. You will be guided through the city’s vibrant daytime buzz and into its pulsating nightlife.

Friends on a stag or bachelor weekend in Athens will get a daytime group activity before the night out: a free, self-guided chase after a runaway groom-to-be, with medium-level puzzles solved at real places from Syntagma Square through Psiri and Monastiraki to Plaka and Koukaki. It runs about 4 km and just over two hours. Anyone after a quiet history tour with a live guide, or who cannot comfortably walk that far, should choose another walk.

Is there a unique outdoor bachelor party activity in Athens?
Yes. This is a self-guided outdoor chase played on your phone. Your group follows the story of a groom-to-be who vanishes before his party, solving puzzles at squares, ruins and neighbourhoods across the centre. It is free to play, you start whenever you like, and it makes a good daytime warm-up before the nightlife.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Athens National Garden and finishes in Koukaki, so it does not return to the start. Along the way you pass the Hellenic Parliament, Syntagma Square, Karytsi Square, Agias Irinis Square, Psiri Square, Monastiraki Square, the Roman Agora, Anafiotika, Plaka and Makrygianni.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Most groups take just over two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 4 km on foot. You can pause and pick it up again later. Bring a fully charged phone or a power bank, because the whole game runs on it.
Does the route go through Plaka?
Yes. Plaka is one of the later stops. You reach it after the Roman Agora and the small Anafiotika quarter, then continue on through Makrygianni to finish in Koukaki.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, it works well for a group of friends, and it is free to play. There is no time slot to book and no tour group to join. Start whenever your group is ready, solve the medium-difficulty puzzles together, and pause if you want a break for food or drinks.
