Często zadawane pytania
What is something to do in Brighton today without booking ahead?
This self-guided walk can be started at any time, with no group to join and no fixed slot. Your phone leads you past the Royal Pavilion, Brighton Dome, Palace Pier and more, telling each place's story and setting a puzzle at every stop.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the Theatre Royal Brighton and finishes at the West Pier and surrounds, so it is not a loop. In between you pass the Royal Pavilion and India Gate, the Statue of King George IV, Victoria Fountain, Volk's Electric Railway, Palace Pier, the Fishing Museum and The Grand.
How long does it take and how far is it?
Most players take around two and a half hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 3.1 km through the centre and along the seafront. You can pause at any point and continue later, so there is time for a coffee or a look at the beach.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, it is tagged as family friendly and works well for school-age children who can walk around 3.1 km and enjoy puzzles based on what is in front of them. Stories like Indian soldiers sleeping under chandeliers and an inventor's seafront railway tend to hold young attention.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the walk, so friends, couples or a family can follow the route and solve the puzzles side by side at their own pace.
