Dla kogo jest

Families with children who like a bit of adventure can climb Olot's own volcano, Montsacopa, solving clue-based puzzles past two watchtowers, the crater and a viewpoint bench. It takes around 90 minutes over 1.6 km and suits Garrotxa visitors and local families alike. The uphill climb and volcano stairs make it a poor fit for people with limited mobility or children still in a pushchair.

Kilka odpowiedzi przed wyjściem

Często zadawane pytania

Can you walk up the Montsacopa volcano with children?
Yes. The route climbs the Pujada del Montsacopa to the crater, passing two watchtowers and a viewpoint bench, then comes down the volcano stairs. It covers 1.6 km and families typically take around 90 minutes, puzzles included. Expect varied terrain and some elevation.
Where does the Montsacopa walk in Olot start and finish?
It starts at Parking Gratuit, follows the Camí del Volcà and Carrer Gredera to an information panel, then heads up to the crater. After descending the volcano stairs and passing a sculpture at their foot, it finishes on Carrer Macarnau.
What age is this volcano game suitable for?
It is designed as a family game, with puzzles where young explorers hunt for the right clues around them. It best suits children who can walk 1.6 km including an uphill climb and stairs, and who enjoy solving riddles with an adult's help.
Do we need to book or pay to play?
No. The game is free to play and there is no time slot to book. Start whenever you like on your phone, with no group or guide to meet, and pause along the way if you want to continue later.
Is the walk outdoors?
Yes, every stop is outdoors, from the paths up Montsacopa to the crater, watchtowers and the stairs down. In bad weather the uneven ground and steps are more demanding, so a dry day and sturdy shoes make the climb easier.
