You've been recruited by the Bureau of Otherworldly Observation, and Agent Howl is handing you your first case: a district full of the dead, and a file nobody has ever managed to close.
Thirteen stops. Thirteen things this city would rather you didn't look at too closely. Some of them are waiting for you.
The dead here were real people, and they remember what the plaques leave out. Ask the right questions and they'll tell you. Ask the wrong ones and you'll find out why the file is still open.

Friends who swap scary stories, or a pair after an evening with some chills, will enjoy the roughly 90 minutes. Skip it if you want a live guide to question, or have easily frightened young children.

Yes, in story form. You play a new recruit of the Bureau of Otherworldly Observation, handed a case by Agent Howl, and follow it through 13 stops in Old Sacramento. At each place the app tells the story of the real people who died there and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the California State Railroad Museum and loops back there at the end. Along the way it passes the Old Schoolhouse, the Waterfront, the Delta King Hotel, the B. F. Hastings Bank Building and the Pony Express Statue, covering about 1.4 km.
How long does the ghost walk take?
Plan on around 90 minutes for the full route of about 1.4 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, so there is room for a drink or a meal in Old Sacramento between stops without losing your place in the case.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
There is no set start time. Begin whenever you like, with no guide and no other groups joining you. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, and everyone follows the case together on their phones.
