Is there a free walking tour of Potsdam?
This quest is a free, self-guided walk you play on your phone. It leads you from the Old Town past the Nikolaikirche, the Alter Stadtkanal and the Brandenburger Gate into Sanssouci Park, telling the story of each place and setting a puzzle there. There is no guide and no fixed departure time.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Potsdam Museum and finishes at the Historical Mill of Sanssouci, so it is not a loop. Along the way you pass the Fortunaportal, Neuer Markt, Brandenburger Street, the Green Gate, the Sphinx statues, the Große Fontäne and Sanssouci Palace.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 3.3 km from the Old Town to Sanssouci Park. You can pause at any point and continue later, so it is easy to fit around a day trip.
Is it suitable for children?
