Perguntas frequentes
What does the modernist route in Alcoy cover?
The walk links 12 stops on Alcoi's modernist trail, from the story of the oil revolution through the industrial Molinar river, Cantó Pinyó, the Edén garden, a fairy palace and a dolls' house. Along the way you decrypt coded messages and hear about palaces, legends, gossip and popular traditions.
How long does it take to walk the 1.8 km route?
Most players take around 90 minutes, including the walking, the stories at each stop and the puzzles. The distance itself is short, but you will stop often to look at facades and solve clues. You can pause at any point and continue later.
Where does the route start and finish?
It starts at the first stop, "Aquí empezó TODO", which tells the story of the oil revolution, and finishes at "El meu poble Alcoi". The route is a loop, so you end up back where you began, which makes it easy to return to your car, bus or train.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, it is tagged as family friendly. The puzzles involve decoding encrypted messages and spotting details in buildings, so it works best for school-age children who can read and enjoy a challenge. The 1.8 km walk at an easy pace is manageable for most kids.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together, and the game is played on a phone. There is no fixed start time or group to join, so you can begin whenever suits you and take breaks along the way.
