Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Pancakes Amsterdam and finishes at Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder, covering about 2.5 km. In between you pass House of the ship, Weeping tower, Montelbaanstoren, Rembrandt house, the Oost-Indisch Huis, De Waag and Oude Kerk, in that order.
How long does it take, and do we need to book a time?
Most players take about 1 hour 45 minutes, walking and puzzles included. There is no set start time, so you begin whenever suits you, and you can pause the game and continue later if you want a break for food or coffee.
Is it suitable for children?
The puzzles are rated medium difficulty, so it works best for families with older children who enjoy working out clues from the buildings and streets around them. The route passes through the Red Light District, and very young children may find close to two hours on foot a lot.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends or family can follow the story side by side and solve the puzzles as a team. There is no tour group to join and no guide to keep up with.
Can I do it by bike instead of walking?
Yes, the quest can be played while riding a bicycle. The app leads you from stop to stop, so you can cycle between places such as Montelbaanstoren, De Waag and Oude Kerk, then stop to hear each story and solve its puzzle.

You find an old letter from your father who vanished at sea decades ago. He spoke of three magical diamonds, a shadowy Lady H, and hid clues in his favorite Amsterdam haunts. Now you follow his trail through canals, courtyards, and Rembrandt’s old paths to find out what really happened.
