A experiência

Sobre esta experiência

A true-crime detective walk through the Birmingham of the real Peaky Blinders. Play a police recruit in 1899, sent by Chief Constable Rafter to learn the gangs' ground and reopen the 1890 file where their name first appeared in print.

É para si?

Para quem é

Peaky Blinders fans and true-crime and social history buffs meet the real Victorian gangs, playing an 1899 police recruit through eight puzzles from the Steelhouse Lane police museum to The Rainbow in Digbeth. Locals curious about Digbeth and the old police and court buildings will enjoy it too. With 3.5 km, medium puzzles and nearly two hours on foot, young children and anyone wanting a live guide should pick something else.

Perguntas frequentes

Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the Police museum on Steelhouse Lane and finishes at The Rainbow in Digbeth, so it does not return to the start. In between you pass Victoria Law Courts, Margaret Street, the Bull Ring statue, Digbeth police station, the Custard Factory and The Old Crown.
How long does it take and how far is it?
Most players take about an hour and 45 minutes, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers around 3.5 km across eight stops, and the puzzles are rated medium difficulty, so allow a little extra time if you like to linger at each place.
Is this a detective mystery game I can play in Birmingham?
Yes. You play a police recruit in 1899, sent by Chief Constable Rafter to reopen the 1890 file where the Peaky Blinders name first appeared in print. Each of the eight puzzles at real landmarks reveals a true story and one letter of the culprit's name.
Does it cost anything, and can we play as a group?
It is free to play. Friends can walk the route together on a phone, reading the stories at each stop and working out the puzzles as a team. There is no group to join and no guide to wait for.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking is needed. The walk is self-guided, so you can start whenever suits you, and you can pause partway, for a drink at one of the pubs on the route for example, then continue later from where you stopped.
