Bella, a famous travel blogger, was found dead during a ghost tour led by the theatrical Percy Shadows. Now, it’s up to you to uncover the truth.
Was it Walter, the obsessed boyfriend? Percy, the ghost tour guide with a flair for the dramatic? Or is someone else hiding in the shadows?
🔎 Gather clues, interrogate suspects, and expose the real murderer before they strike again. Make sure to have your pen and paper ready to jot down all the crucial evidence.

Perguntas frequentes
Is there a murder mystery game you can play in Durham?
Yes. This is a self-guided murder mystery you play outdoors on your phone. You walk about 2.1 km through Durham, gather clues and question suspects to decide who killed Bella Wanderlust: her obsessed boyfriend Walter, the theatrical ghost tour guide Percy Shadows, or someone else hiding in the shadows.
How long does the Durham murder mystery take?
Plan on around 90 minutes at a relaxed pace, covering about 2.1 km on foot. There is no clock to beat, and you can pause whenever you like for a coffee or a meal, then pick up the investigation later where you left off.
Is it suitable for kids?
The story centres on a death and asks players to weigh up suspects and clues, so it works best for teens and older children playing alongside adults. Younger children may find both the theme and the detective work harder to follow.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, and players follow the case on their own phones. There is no guide and no fixed time slot, so you simply start whenever it suits you.
Is it played outdoors, and what if it rains?
The game takes place outdoors as you walk between locations, so dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. If the rain gets heavy, you can pause the game and continue the investigation later or on another day.
