It is a self-guided story walk played on your phone. You are Bella Sabini, a baker's apprentice pursued by the guards of a mysterious woman in crimson. The app leads you through the historic centre, tells the story of each place and sets puzzles in what you see around you.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Christopher Columbus' House and finishes at Calata Falcone e Borsellino, so it is not a loop. Along the way you pass Porta Soprana, the Doge's Palace, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, Piazza Banchi and Palazzo San Giorgio, covering about 2.7 km.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about two and a half hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. You can start whenever you like, pause at any point and carry on later, so there is no need to rush or book a time slot in advance.
