We will begin from Eminönü Square and end the route in the beautiful Gülhane Park, where you can take a walk or relax in an ambient cafe in celebration of completing your quest.

First-time visitors who want the main sights of Istanbul's historic peninsula in one go can walk from the Egyptian Bazaar past Büyük Valide Han and the Obelisk of Theodosius to Gülhane Park, solving challenges on the way. Couples, friends and families who prefer a game to a plain sightseeing walk will enjoy it most. Anyone who cannot manage 4.7 km over close to three hours should choose something shorter.

Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Egyptian Bazaar Entrance in Eminönü and finishes at Gülhane Park, so it does not return to the start. In between you pass Büyük Valide Han, Istanbul University, the Column of Constantine, the Obelisk of Theodosius, Arasta Bazaar and the Fountain of Sultan Ahmed III.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take close to three hours, walking and challenges included, and cover about 4.7 km. The route is best played during the day, so start early enough to finish in daylight. You can also pause along the way and continue later.
Where is the obelisk?
The Obelisk of Theodosius is one of the stops on this route, reached after the Column of Constantine and before Arasta Bazaar. The app leads you there on foot, tells its story and sets a challenge based on what you see in front of you.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so couples, friends and families can follow the route and solve the challenges as a team on a shared phone.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. There is no guide and no group to join, so you start whenever you like, ideally during the day. You can pause between stops for a coffee or a look around a bazaar, then pick up the quest where you left off.
