You can always take a break along the way at the many cafes and restaurants you will pass by. Make an afternoon of it!

This route covers 3.7 km along the Hudson River Walkway, from the Sun Dial at Exchange Place to the Hoboken Terminal Waiting Room. With stops and the game, most people take a little over two hours. As of March 2024 there is a detour between stops 4 and 5, and construction work may affect the route.
Can you walk from Exchange Place to Hoboken along the waterfront?
Yes. You pass the iron structures by the Harborside building, Avalon Cove, a merchant ship propeller, the Pavonia Arcs, Newport Lighthouse, the Holland Tunnel ventilation shafts, Water's Soul, a sand beach and a life preserver, finishing at the decorative arch and waiting room of Hoboken Terminal. Binoculars help with the Manhattan views.
