You've been recruited by the Bureau of Otherworldly Observation, and Agent Howl is handing you your first case: a district full of the dead, and a file nobody has ever managed to close.
Thirteen stops. Thirteen things this city would rather you didn't look at too closely. Some of them are waiting for you.
The dead here were real people, and they remember what the plaques leave out. Ask the right questions and they'll tell you. Ask the wrong ones and you'll find out why the file is still open.
Keep your phone torch handy. You'll want it. 🕯️

Couples, friends and small groups of adults who enjoy ghost stories and dark history get a puzzle-led walk through Fremantle, from the Round House past the Prison and the Courthouses to Town Hall, with 13 stops in around 90 minutes. If you want a live guide to quiz, or are bringing young children, these stories of the real dead and the 2.5 km on foot may not suit.

Is this a ghost tour in Perth?
It is a self-guided ghost walk in Fremantle, in the Perth area, played on your phone. As a new recruit of the Bureau of Otherworldly Observation, you hear the stories of real people who died here and solve puzzles at 13 stops. There is no guide and no set start time.
Where does the Fremantle ghost walk start and finish?
It starts at The Round House and finishes at Town Hall, so it does not return to the start. The route covers about 2.5 km and passes Whalers Tunnel, the Historic Mortuary, the Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle Markets, Fremantle Prison and St. John's along the way.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. You start whenever you like, with no group to join and no fixed departure. You can pause and continue later. Most players take around 90 minutes, walking and puzzles included, so plan for about an hour and a half.
Is it like an escape room?
It plays more like an outdoor escape game. At each stop the app tells the story of the place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you, and asking the right questions moves the case forward through all 13 stops.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so couples, friends or a small party can follow the route side by side on a phone and work through the puzzles as a team.
