Perguntas frequentes
Is there a ghost walk in Warwick I can do on my own schedule?
Yes. This is a self-guided ghost walk you play on your phone, covering the town's ghost stories, crimes and legends. You can start any time, with no fixed evening slot and no group to join. It takes about 1 hour 45 minutes, walking and puzzles included.
Is the tour self-guided?
Yes. There is no guide. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each spot and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. You can pause and continue later.
Does the ghost tour include Warwick Castle?
The route takes in several castle stops: near the Castle Stables, the Old Castle Entrance, the foot of Caesar Tower and the river view of Warwick Castle, a rarely seen angle good for eerie photos. You also learn how Guy Fawkes was linked to the castle.
Where does it start and finish, and how far is it?
The route is a loop of about 2.6 km. It starts at Lord Leycester Hospital and finishes at the back of the Old Warwick Courts, passing East Gate, St Mary's Church, the Warwick Gaol cell door and the site of the scaffold along the way.
Can we play as a group, and is it suitable for children?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together. The theme is horror and haunts, with crime, executions and grim legends, so it suits adults and teenagers who enjoy ghost stories better than young children.
