Now a copycat calling himself The Disciple has scattered the 1969 artifacts across the city and marked innocent citizens for "collection," determined to finish what his Master started.
You're on the task force. Twelve locations, each tied to a Zodiac sign. No set order, only your instincts. And beware: some of them are traps designed to waste your precious time.

Twelve marked locations across 2 km from Jefferson Street, past Ghirardelli Square, Aquatic Park, and San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, in no fixed order, and some of the pins are traps.

Yes. It is a self-guided outdoor game on your phone. A copycat calling himself The Disciple has stolen the original Zodiac evidence files and scattered the 1969 artifacts across the city. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each one and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you.
Is it a guided Zodiac Killer tour of San Francisco?
No. There is no guide and no group to join. It is a puzzle game with a fictional copycat plot that takes its hook from the real Zodiac case, which went cold decades ago. You follow the app at your own pace and solve each clue yourself.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes for a walk of about 2 km. It is played outdoors, so dress for the weather. You can pause at any point, for food or if the fog rolls in, and continue later from where you stopped.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers your whole group, so friends or a couple can play together. There are no time slots to book: you start whenever you like, today or at the weekend, and play at your own pace.
Is it suitable for children?
It is aimed at adults. The theme is a serial killer case and a copycat who marks citizens for "collection," and the story quotes the killer directly. Young children are better off with a lighter quest. Parents of older children should judge the dark theme for themselves.
