Where does the Kett's Rebellion walk in Wymondham start and finish?
It starts at the Town Sign by Becket's Chapel and finishes at the Wymondham Heritage Museum Garden, so it does not return to the start. Along the 1.6 km route you pass the Green Dragon Inn, the Abbey ruins, the West Tower, Damgate Bridge and the Market Cross.
How long does the walk take?
Most players take around an hour and 20 minutes, including the walking and the puzzles at each stop. The route covers 1.6 km through the town centre, and you can go at your own pace since there is no guide or group to keep up with.
Is it suitable for children?
It suits families with older children, especially those studying Tudor history. The story follows a local woodturner in 1549 as enclosure takes away the common land, and Robert Kett, a tanner who led thousands in protest. Younger children may find the history and puzzles harder to follow.
