Für wen es ist
Active couples and families with older children who would rather walk up Montjuïc than take the cable car get a witchcraft story with puzzles, climbing 4.3 km from Woman and Bird past the Font Màgica and the Joan Miró Foundation to the castle. Skip it if a nearly three-hour uphill walk is too much, or if your children are young, since parts of the story are not meant for them.

Ein paar Antworten vor dem Start
Häufig gestellte Fragen
Is there a witch-themed walking route in Barcelona?
Yes. This self-guided quest follows a witchcraft story up Montjuïc, where you defeat evil sorcerers, meet magical creatures and solve puzzles at real places, from Plaça d'Espanya and the Font Màgica to the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya and the gardens below the castle.
Are there castles in Barcelona, and does this walk go to one?
Montjuïc Castle sits at the top of Montjuïc hill, and this quest finishes there. The route climbs to it on foot, passing Font del Gat, the cable car station, the Jardins de Mossèn Cinto Verdaguer and the Tobogans de Montjuïc on the way.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
You start at Woman and Bird, near Las Arenas, and finish at Montjuïc Castle, so it is not a loop. The route covers 4.3 km, much of it uphill, and players typically take about 2 hours 45 minutes including walking and puzzles. It is best played during the day.
Can two people play together?
Yes. It works well for couples, and one ticket covers the whole group playing together, so two of you can follow the story and solve the puzzles side by side. You can start whenever you like and pause along the way, then continue later.
Is it suitable for children?
It is recommended for families, but some of the information in the story may not be suitable for children, so it suits older kids best. Keep in mind the walk is 4.3 km, largely uphill, and takes nearly three hours, which is a lot for small legs.
