Forget every ghost story you've heard about this city. This Halloween, ten restless spirits are loose on its streets. 👻 No history book knows their names. No tour guide has heard of them. Most are just lost souls. One is lying to you. 💀
A hooded Oracle needs a ghost hunter. Every spirit is stuck on unfinished business: solve its mystery, catch it, and it gives up a clue. Follow the trail across town, crack ciphers and riddles (some only the street itself can answer), then name the Evil One and destroy it before it finds you. 🕷️

Friends, couples, families with older kids and escape-room fans can play a Halloween ghost hunt rather than follow a guide. Over about 1.5 to 2 hours and 2.3 km, you crack ciphers from City Hall past Civic Auditorium and Memorial Park, then name the lying spirit back where you began. The spirits are fictional, so anyone after real local ghost lore from a live guide should choose a guided walk.

Is this a scavenger hunt in Pasadena?
Yes, it works like a story-driven scavenger hunt. Your phone leads you between stops around central Pasadena, and at each one you solve a mystery, cipher or riddle, some of which only the street in front of you can answer, to catch a spirit and earn a clue.
How is this different from a guided Pasadena ghost tour?
There is no guide and no fixed start time. You start whenever you like, play on your phone at your own pace and can pause and continue later. Instead of listening to stories, you hunt ten invented spirits, solve their puzzles and work out which one is the Evil One.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
It is a loop that starts and ends at Pasadena City Hall, passing the Civic Auditorium, several public artworks and Pasadena Memorial Park. The route is about 2.3 km, and most players take around 1.5 to 2 hours including walking and puzzles.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends, couples or a family can share the hunt and solve the ciphers and riddles as a team. There is no group to join and no time slot to book; you simply start when you are ready.
