Sobre esta experiencia

Augsburg, Germany. You are Tara—time traveler, explorer, and keeper of secrets. Alongside your curious cat Neli and your witty AI assistant Cronus, you've arrived from the future on a mission: uncover how this ancient city mastered the power of water.

This walking adventure blends sci-fi, discovery, and puzzle-solving—perfect for families or friends ready to explore together, connect with the past, and create new memories along the way. The future is watching. Are you ready?

¿Es para ti?

Para quién es

Families and friends who prefer puzzles to a guide will enjoy this time-travel story about how Augsburg mastered water, passing Lech canals, water wheels, the Red Gate waterworks and the Puppenkiste. It is free to play and takes about two and a half hours. Skip it if you want a live guide to question, or if 3.1 km outdoors, best done in daylight, is too much for your group.

Preguntas frecuentes

Is there a self-guided city walk app for Augsburg?
Yes. This quest runs on your phone and leads you between places on foot, telling the story of each and setting a puzzle in what you see there. There is no guide and no group to join, and it is free to play, so friends or family can simply start together.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Rathausplatz and finishes at Hercules' Fountain, so it does not end where it began. Along the way you visit the Elias-Holl-Denkmal, Mittlerer Lech, two water wheels, the herb garden, the city wall, the Red Gate waterworks, the Augsburger Puppenkiste and the Basilica of SS. Ulrich and Afra.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about two and a half hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 3.1 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, so it is easy to stop for a break near the canals or the basilica.
Is it good for kids?
It suits families: you play as Tara, a time traveller with a curious cat called Neli and an AI assistant named Cronus, and the route passes the Augsburger Puppenkiste. Children should be able to walk 3.1 km over about two and a half hours and enjoy solving clues.
Do we need to book a time or buy entry tickets?
No booking is needed; you can start whenever you like. The route is open around the clock, but it is better in daylight and playing at night is not recommended. No attraction tickets are required for any stop on the route.
