La experiencia
Sobre esta experiencia
Benalmádena, where the sea sparkles and legends stir. A shipwreck has struck, and Captain Isabella’s crew lies in peril. Only one thing can save them—a miraculous remedy created by the wise Ibn Al-Baytar. But time is short, and danger lurks on every path.
You are called upon by your old friend, Lord Hermann, to deliver the cure. As a noble knight, you must navigate the town’s winding roads, solve puzzles, follow hidden clues, and face trials worthy of a tale—temptations, pirates, lowlands... even giants. Luckily, you may find help in the spirit of Don Quixote himself.
This journey through Benalmádena is more than a walk—it’s a heroic adventure for friends and families alike. Will you rise to the call?
¿Es para ti?
Para quién es
Friends, couples and families with older children can play knights carrying a cure along the seafront, from El Bil-Bil Castle past the Windmill roundabout and Torre Bermeja to the harbour bridge, solving puzzles for about two hours over 2.4 km. Anyone hoping for a live guide to quiz on local history, or with small children who will tire on a sunny two-hour walk, should choose something else.

Preguntas frecuentes
What is the Don Quixote quest in Benalmádena?
It is a self-guided outdoor puzzle game played on your phone. You play a noble knight asked by Lord Hermann to deliver a remedy created by Ibn Al-Baytar to Captain Isabella's shipwrecked crew. Along the way you solve puzzles and follow clues, with help from the spirit of Don Quixote.
Does the route pass the Windmill roundabout in Benalmádena?
Yes. The Windmill roundabout is the fourth stop, after El Bil-Bil Castle, the Ibn al-Baytar statue and the Paseo Maritimo. The app guides you there and on to the Stairs, the Sky Mosaic, Las Gaviotas and further along the coast.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
The quest starts at El Bil-Bil Castle and finishes at the Bridge in the Harbor, so it is not a loop. The route covers 2.4 km, and most players take about two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together on a phone. There is no set start time and no group to join, so you begin whenever you like. The route is open around the clock, though it is better played in daylight.
What should we bring, and can we pause?
The whole route is outdoors along the seafront, so wear a hat and sunscreen and carry enough water. You can pause the game at any point, stop for a break, and continue later from where you left off.
