Where does the trail start and finish?
It starts at The Sun Inn and finishes at North Bar Gate, so it does not return to the start. Along the way you pass Beverley Minster, the Treasure House, the Guildhall, Market Place, St Marys Church, the White Horse Inn, Memorial Gardens and Coronation Garden, about 1.7 km in total.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take around an hour and a half, including the 1.7 km of walking and the puzzles along the route. You can pause whenever you like and pick up the investigation again later, so there is no need to rush between stops.
Is it suitable for children?
It works best for families with older children who can follow a detective story and enjoy solving puzzles set in the real places in front of them. Younger children may find a walk and puzzle session of around 90 minutes too long to stay interested.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
There is no time slot to book, no group to join and no guide to meet. You start on your phone whenever you are ready at The Sun Inn, and one ticket covers the whole group playing together.
