How does a Questo quest work?
You play on your phone. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each one and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, so you can start whenever you like.
Where does the wine walk start and finish?
It starts at the C.I.V.B, the Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux, and finishes at the Point de vue Cité du Vin. It is not a loop, so you end up about 3.5 km away from where you began, after passing through the Chartrons quarter.
How long does it take?
Most players take a little over two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 3.5 km and 11 stops, among them the Monument aux Girondins, the CAPC, Rue Notre Dame and the Quai des Chartrons.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, it is tagged as family friendly and the wine theme is told through history and puzzles, with no tasting involved. It suits children who can comfortably walk around 3.5 km over two hours and enjoy working out clues with the adults.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together. There is no time slot to book: the route is open around the clock, though it is better in daylight, and you can pause the quest and carry on later.
