Where does the game start and finish?
It starts at Nicolae Bălcescu 29 and finishes at the back of Făgăraș Fortress, so it does not end where it began. On the way you pass the Radu Negru college, the Unitarian church, the Cathedral of St John the Baptist, Bastionul Toboșarului and the main bridge.
How long does it take?
Most players take around 90 minutes, including the walking and the puzzles, over a route of about 1.7 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, so there is no need to rush through the story or the puzzles.
Is it suitable for children?
It suits families with teenagers best. The story is a dark medieval fantasy about the undead and a witch's curse, which younger children may find frightening, and the puzzles are built around the places in front of you, so older kids can join in solving them.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route, so friends or a family can follow the story and solve the puzzles side by side as they walk from the town centre to the fortress.
Do we need to book a time or pay entry to the fortress?
No. You can start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide to meet, and no entry to any attraction is needed to play. The route is outdoors, and it is recommended that you play in daylight rather than at night.
