Frank Baum's 1900 Oz novel, on a 2.8 km loop from the Modern Art Museum past the Kimbell and out to West 7th. Anyone wanting a real locked room with a host, or unable to walk for close to two hours, should book an indoor escape room.

Is this an escape room in Fort Worth?
It is an outdoor escape-room-style game played on your phone. Instead of a locked room, the app leads you between real places in Fort Worth, tells a story inspired by the original Oz novel and sets puzzles in what is in front of you, as you try to outsmart the witch.
Where does the game start and finish?
It is a loop that starts and ends at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Along the way you pass the Kimbell Art Museum and nearby sculptures, then head towards West 7th, including North Paseo, The Durty Crow, Pour Decisions and Maestro Tacos, before returning to the Modern.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Most players take close to two hours, about 110 minutes, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers around 2.8 km on foot, so wear comfortable shoes and allow a little extra time if you want to stop along the way.
Can we play as a group, or solo?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route, so friends, couples and families can crack the puzzles as a team. If you prefer to play alone, you can tackle the witch's challenges solo and compare your result on the leaderboard.
Do we need to book a time slot, and can we pause?
No time slot is needed. You start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide to meet. If you need a break, you can pause the game on your phone and continue later from where you stopped.
