Preguntas frecuentes
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at McGovern Centennial Gardens and runs as a loop through the Museum District, passing the Museum of Natural Science, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Contemporary Arts Museum, First Presbyterian Church and Clayton House. The final stop is The Health Museum.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take just under two hours, including walking and puzzles, to cover about 3.1 km. It is best played in the morning to avoid the heat, and you should start with a fully charged phone or bring a power bank.
Is this a good detective game for kids in Houston?
It suits families who want an outdoor puzzle game between the museums rather than an indoor visit. Children play detective alongside Ken Clever, hunting clues in the places in front of them, so they need to be happy walking about 3.1 km over nearly two hours.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route, so friends or a family can follow the case as one team of detectives and work out the clues side by side.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking slot is needed. It is self-guided on your phone with no guide or group to join, so you can start whenever you like, pause for a break or a museum visit, and continue later.
