What will we see on Fourvière Hill during the quest?
In walking order: the basilica forecourt, Fourvière Viewpoint, the metallic tower, Quatre Vents Footbridge, Lyon's former ski resort, Loyasse Cemetery, the Gier Aqueduct, the Ancient Theater of Fourvière, André Malraux Park, Gargoyle House, Lyon's oldest houses and the Maison de Guignol Theater. Each stop comes with its story and a puzzle.
Does the walk include the Fourvière viewpoint over Lyon?
Yes. Fourvière Viewpoint is the second stop, just after the basilica forecourt. The route also passes through peaceful parks and picturesque streets with views over the city, so the views are part of the walk rather than a single stop.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Fourvière Basilica's Forecourt and finishes at the Maison de Guignol Theater. It is not a loop, so you end in a different place from where you began, after about 3.4 km on foot.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about two hours, walking and puzzles included. You can start any time with no slot to book, pause along the way and continue later. It is an outdoor route and is best played during the day.
Is it good for families and groups?
It is recommended for families and for couples. Children should be able to manage around 3.4 km over about two hours. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on one phone, and there is no guide or other group to join.
