Forget every ghost story you've heard about this city. This Halloween, ten restless spirits are loose on its streets. 👻 No history book knows their names. No tour guide has heard of them. Most are just lost souls. One is lying to you. 💀
A hooded Oracle needs a ghost hunter. Every spirit is stuck on unfinished business: solve its mystery, catch it, and it gives up a clue. Follow the trail across town, crack ciphers and riddles (some only the street itself can answer), then name the Evil One and destroy it before it finds you. 🕷️

Starting at Macon City Hall, this 2 km downtown trail passes the Otis Redding Museum, Rosa Parks Square and the Capitol Theatre while you catch ten Halloween spirits with ciphers and riddles in about 90 minutes. Yes, it suits teens and older kids well. The story is a Halloween ghost hunt: ten spirits are loose, each with a mystery to solve, and one of them is lying to you. Players crack ciphers and riddles, then name the Evil One. The horror theme may be too much for young children.
How is this different from a guided Macon ghost tour?
There is no guide and no fixed start time. You play on your phone, which leads you from stop to stop, tells each spirit's story and sets the puzzles. You can start whenever you like, and the walk covers about 2 km in around 90 minutes.
