Preguntas frecuentes
Is there an escape room near me in Medicine Hat that we can play outdoors?
Yes. This is an outdoor escape-room-style game played on your phone in downtown Medicine Hat. It starts at 1 Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre and leads you through 11 stops, including the Assiniboia Inn and Fifth Avenue Memorial United Church, with a puzzle at each place.
What are the escape room hours, and do we need to book a time slot?
There are no fixed hours or booking slots. You start whenever suits your group, and the game takes around 90 minutes. You can also pause partway through and continue later, so you are not racing a clock set by someone else.
Can our whole group play together, or can I play alone?
One ticket covers your whole group, so friends, families, couples or a birthday group can solve the puzzles together on their phones. If you prefer to play solo, you can take on the witch's challenges alone and compare your result on the leaderboard.
Where does the game start and what is the story?
You begin at 1 Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre. The story is a new narrative inspired by L. Frank Baum's original Oz novel from 1900, where you team up with a band of misfits to outsmart the witch, with original Oz-themed songs you can also play at home.
Is it outdoors, and what if it rains?
Yes, the whole game takes place outdoors on the streets of downtown Medicine Hat, moving between 11 stops. Dress for the weather. Because you can pause and pick up where you left off, you can stop for shelter or finish another day.
