Christmas Operation: Sleigh Down is a hilarious, holiday-themed adventure game where Santa’s sleigh has crash-landed and Christmas Spirit is leaking across the city. As Ground Control, you’ll follow the magic trail through 12 locations, solving puzzles, completing dares, and collecting the Elements of Spirit to restart the sleigh. With Santa, Sparky, and Rudolph guiding (and roasting) you along the way, this interactive scavenger-hunt-meets-story-game will have your group laughing all the way. Will you save Christmas? 🎅🎄

This 2.2 km loop starts and ends at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, passing Bicentennial Plaza, the Executive Mansion and Marbles Kids Museum as Santa, Sparky and Rudolph roast you through puzzles and dares in about 90 minutes. Families with kids, visiting relatives and coworkers on a team outing will laugh along together. Anyone wanting a serious history tour or a Christmas-lights stroll should choose another walk.

Where does the Christmas scavenger hunt in Raleigh start and finish?
It starts and finishes at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, so you end up where you began. Along the way you pass Bicentennial Plaza, the North Carolina Executive Mansion, Color Pop Corner, Marbles Kids Museum, the Century Postal Station and the Presidents North Carolina Gave the Nation statue.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes for a walk of about 2.2 km through downtown Raleigh. There is no fixed pace, and you can pause the game and continue later if you stop for food or want to warm up somewhere.
Is it a good Christmas activity for kids?
The story is lighthearted: Santa's sleigh has crash-landed and your group collects the Elements of Spirit to restart it, with puzzles and dares at each stop. School-age children who enjoy puzzles tend to suit it best, and younger ones will likely need an adult to help with the clues.
Can we do it as a group or office Christmas outing on one ticket?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, and you play together as Ground Control. There is no guide and no other group to join, which makes it easy to organise for friends, visiting family or a team.
Do we need to book a time, and what if it rains?
No booking slot is needed. You start whenever you like from the app on your phone. The route is a walk between outdoor stops in the city, so dress for the weather, and if it turns wet you can pause and pick the game up again later.
