Decades ago, the Zodiac Killer carved those words into history then vanished into the fog. The case went cold. The city moved on. Until last night.
A high-security police vault has been breached. The thief ignored the cash and the narcotics but he took only one thing: the original Zodiac evidence files. Now a copycat calling himself The Disciple has scattered the 1969 artifacts across the city and marked innocent citizens for "collection," determined to finish what his Master started.
You're on the task force. Twelve locations, each tied to a Zodiac sign. No set order, only your instincts. And beware: some of them are traps designed to waste your precious time.

Over about 2 km through Tampa, you track a copycat called The Disciple, recovering 1969 Zodiac case artifacts and solving puzzles on your phone in around 90 minutes, starting whenever you like. Decode the real thing, cryptic notes, punched cards and symbol-filled messages built from the Zodiac's actual letters.
Twelve marked locations across 2 km from East Twiggs Street, past Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Tampa Museum of Art, and Straz Center for the Performing Arts, in no fixed order, and some of the pins are traps.
For true crime readers, played with your partner, your friends, or on your own if the ciphers are the draw.

Is this a mystery game we can play in Tampa today?
Yes. It is an outdoor murder mystery played on your phone, so you can start any time without booking a slot. Plan on around 90 minutes and about 2 km of walking as the app leads you from place to place, tells the story and sets a puzzle at each stop.
Is the game self-guided, or does a guide come with us?
It is fully self-guided. There is no guide and no group to join. The app directs you between locations, tells the story of each place and gives you a puzzle to solve using what is in front of you. You can pause at any point and continue later.
How is it different from a Zodiac Killer escape room?
Instead of a locked indoor room with a fixed time slot, you walk about 2 km through the city, solving ciphers and clues hidden in real places. It takes around 90 minutes, you choose your own start time, and you can stop for a break and pick it up again later.
