À propos de cette aventure
Explore one of Bangkok's most storied neighbourhoods: Yaowarat, the city's historic Chinatown. Follow a path through lesser-walked alleys, taking in the colours, smells and layered history of a district shaped by centuries of Thai-Chinese life.
Visit Wat Traimit and its extraordinary solid-gold Buddha, step inside ornate Chinese temples, and discover local markets where traders have worked the same streets for generations. Along the way, taste a bitter-sweet herbal tea at a century-old shop, sip Chaozhou coffee brewed to a secret recipe, and browse the gold shops that have made Yaowarat Road famous across Southeast Asia.
Est-ce pour vous ?
Pour qui c'est
Adult travellers and couples get a morning on foot through Yaowarat's temples, gold shops and old coffee houses, from the solid-gold Buddha at Wat Traimit to Wat Mangkon Kamalawat, with herbal tea and Chaozhou coffee along the way. Expect 3.5 km and around 2.5 hours. All that walking in the heat makes it a poor fit for young children, elderly walkers or anyone after a guided night food tour.

Questions fréquemment posées
Is there a self-guided tour of Bangkok's Chinatown that includes Wat Traimit and the Golden Buddha?
Yes. This phone-based walk stops at Wat Traimit Withayaram Worawihan, home of the solid-gold Buddha, early on the route. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each stop and sets a puzzle there. There is no guide and no group to join, so you start whenever you like.
Where does the Chinatown walk start and finish?
It starts at Hua Lamphong MRT Station and finishes at the wedding store ตั้ง จิ้น ย้ง, so it is not a loop. In between you pass the Sun Wukong Shrine, Wat Traimit, the China Town Gate, Tang Toh Kang Gold Shop & Museum, Wat Mangkon Kamalawat and the Historic Hut Charoen Chai Community.
How long does it take and when is the best time to go?
Most players take around 2.5 hours to cover the 3.5 km, puzzles included. Mornings work best: it is cooler, and the markets, shrines and temples are lively. Start early enough, because the last part of the game might not be available after 4PM. You can pause and continue later.
Can we play as a group, and is it suitable for kids?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the walk. It is aimed at adults: the route is not recommended for young children or elderly people because of the heat over a 3.5 km walk of around 2.5 hours.
What should we wear and bring?
Dress respectfully, as the route goes inside temples such as Wat Traimit and Wat Mangkon Kamalawat. The walk is outdoors in Bangkok heat, so bring a hat, sunscreen and enough water. Charge your phone fully or carry a power bank, since the game runs on it.
