Questions fréquemment posées
What is this Berlin freedom puzzle hunt about?
It follows the Quadriga, the four-horse chariot once taken by Napoleon and reclaimed by Berliners as a symbol of resilience. You solve 15 challenges at places from Bebelplatz, where books were burned, to Brandenburg Gate, hearing the voices of Berliners past: philosophers, rebels, survivors and artists.
How does this treasure hunt in Berlin work?
You play on your phone. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each spot and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, so you can start any time, pause and continue later.
Where does it start and finish?
The route starts at The First Whisper and finishes at The Liberty Gate, so it does not return to the start. In between you walk about 4.5 km past 15 stops, including The Burned Page, The Crossing Point, World Balloon and The Golden Figures.
How long does it take, and can we play as a group?
Most players take about three hours, walking and puzzles included, and you can pause and pick up later if you need a break. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, which suits friends who like solving riddles as a team.
Is this a good Berlin puzzle game for kids?
It works best for older children and teens who enjoy riddles and can manage a 4.5 km walk over about three hours. The story touches serious history, such as the book burning at Bebelplatz, so younger children may find it long and heavy going.
