Adults drawn to Florence's darker side will follow demons, executions and Dante lore from the Battistero di San Giovanni past Giotto's Bell Tower and il sasso di dante, solving easy to medium puzzles over about 1.5 km and around 90 minutes. Couples and friends who know the Duomo area and want something eerier than a history walk will enjoy it most. The ghosts and murder plot make it a poor fit for young children.

No booking is needed. The quest is free to play and runs on your phone, so you can start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide to wait for. You can also pause and continue later.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Battistero di San Giovanni and finishes at il trono di lucifero, so it does not return to the start. In between you pass ten stops, including Giotto's Bell Tower, il sasso di dante and il palazzo del boia, over about 1.5 km.
How long does it take?
Most players take around 90 minutes, including the walking and the puzzles. The route is about 1.5 km, so the time goes mostly into the stories and riddles at each stop. You can pause at any point and pick it up later.
Is it suitable for children?
The puzzles are rated easy to medium, but the story is built on murder, ghosts, demons and executions. It suits adults and teens who enjoy spooky tales better than young children, who may find the themes too dark.
Can we play as a group?
