The Old City of Jerusalem carries thousands of years of history and is shrouded in the spiritual energy of many religions. In this city game, you play as a lost alien who crashed with his spaceship in Jerusalem and needs to find this energy to recharge his spaceship's battery.
You'll visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the holiest place for Christianity, the Western Wall, the last standing remains of the holy temple which is the holiest place for Judaism, and you'll see at distance the Al Aqsa Mosque, the third most important mosque in the Muslim world.
You'll discover fascinating stories about Jerusalem throughout different historical periods; the Greeks, the Romans, the Crusaders, the Mamluks, the Turks, and the British.
The quest will take place within the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Couples and families on a first visit to the Old City play a stranded alien gathering spiritual energy at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Cardo, the Hurva Synagogue and the Western Wall, over about 1.5 hours and 2.3 km. You get the main sacred sites through puzzles instead of a lecture. Anyone wanting a live guide to answer questions about the holy places, or who would rather stay out of the sun, should pick something else.

You play as a lost alien who crashed with his spaceship in Jerusalem. In order to return home you need to charge energy into the battery of your spaceship.
According to your book's instructions, in the Old City of Jerusalem there are hidden ancient objects and symbols that carry within them the energy required to restart the spacecraft and get back to your distant planet safely.

Is this a self-guided walking tour of Jerusalem's Old City?
Yes. Your phone leads you through 11 stops, from the Tower of David past the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Cardo and the Hurva Synagogue to the Western Wall Plaza. It tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. There is no guide.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Tower of David and finishes at the Western Wall Plaza, so it is not a loop. On the way you pass Jaffa Gate, the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and a viewpoint over the Dome of the Rock.
How long does it take?
Most players take around 1.5 hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 2.3 km through the Old City. You can pause at any point and continue later, so a break at a café is no problem.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together. There is no set start time and no group to join, so you can begin whenever suits you and go at your own pace.
Is it suitable for children, and what should we bring?
It is recommended as a family activity, and the alien storyline turns the sacred sites into a game with puzzles along the way. Much of the walk is outdoors, so wear a hat and sunscreen and carry enough water.
