Knight Erazem had been a ghost in his fortress for a year.  One evening, Theodore, a loyal servant, came with a message. The emperor’s forces were close. 

It was a matter of time before they discovered his secret passage. He had to see his beloved one last time! Erazem send his servant to her with a series of riddles, telling her what to bring him and where to go. It is a trail of love and logic that guided her through the castle into his arms.

Couples and families with school-age children visiting Predjama Castle, perhaps on a day trip from Postojna Cave, can follow the legend of the knight Erazem through easy to medium riddles. In about an hour you walk from Our Lady of Sorrows church past the Erazem linden and viewpoint terrace to the castle. Anyone who wants a live guide to answer questions, or a proper hike, should look elsewhere.
