Questions fréquemment posées
Is this a good romantic thing to do in Sacramento?
Yes, it is built for couples. You walk together past well-known spots such as Tower Bridge, the Stanford Mansion, the State Capitol and the Crest Theatre, hear the story of each place, solve puzzles side by side and finish among the roses of the World Peace Rose Garden in State Capitol Park.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at Subtile by Federico Díaz and finishes at the World Peace Rose Garden in State Capitol Park, so it does not return to the starting point. Along the way you pass Tower Bridge, the Crocker Art Museum, Lincoln Plaza, the California Museum, the Stanford Mansion, the Capitol, the Crest Theatre and a dive bar.
How long does it take and how far is it?
Most players take around two hours, including walking and puzzles. The route covers about 4.1 km and has ten stops. You can pause at any point, for a coffee or a drink, and pick up where you left off later.
Can we play as a couple or a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together on one phone. There is no set time to book and no group to join: you start whenever you like, follow the route at your own pace and stop when you want.
Do we go inside the museums and other places?
No. The experience happens outside, and entering the places is not part of the game. You look at each building or spot from the street, hear its story in the app and solve a puzzle based on what is in front of you.
What’s the vibe of Romantic Sacramento?
It’s all about slow strolls, sweet moments, and discovering hidden love-notes around town. Think river walks, cozy lights, and solving puzzles together that lead you to romantic spots.
Is this good for a date night or anniversary?
Yes! Perfect for when you want more than dinner. Walking hand in hand, maybe pausing by the water, sharing laughs over clues—makes memories.
What landmarks will we pass that make it romantic?
You’ll wander past the Riverfront, Tower Bridge, Capitol grounds at dusk, and small scenic views. There are spots with great views, soft lighting, and beautiful gardens or promenades.
