Questions fréquemment posées
Does the walk pass through Piazza Duomo in Taormina?
Yes. Piazza Duomo is the tenth stop, just before the finish at Piazza IX Aprile. The app leads you there step by step from Porta Messina through the old town, so you do not need to plan the way or carry a separate map.
What will we see in Taormina on this quest?
In walking order: Porta Messina, Chiesa di Santa Caterina, Hotel Victoria, Via degli artisti, a stop on Florence and Cacciola Trevelyan, Monumento ai Caduti, the Orchestra a plettro Città di Taormina, Via Tommaso Fazello, Via Umberto I, Piazza Duomo and finally Piazza IX Aprile.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
You start at Porta Messina and finish at Piazza IX Aprile, so it is a one-way route, not a loop. The walk covers 2.3 km, and most players take just over two hours including the puzzles at each stop.
Is it good for kids, and can we play as a group?
Yes, it is tagged family friendly, and the puzzles suit children old enough to read clues and spot details around them. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so a family or a couple shares a single game on one phone.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
There is no group or guide to meet, so you start whenever suits you between 8:00 and 18:00. You can pause for a coffee or a gelato along the way and continue later from where you stopped.
