Questions fréquemment posées
What should I see in Vilnius?
This walk takes in the main Old Town sights in order: Cathedral Square, the Presidential Palace, Vilnius University, Stikliai, Town Hall, the Gates of Dawn, Bastion Hill, Užupis, St Anne and Bernadines, Literatų gatvė, the Teapot House, the Palace of the Grand Dukes and finally Gedimino Tower.
Is this a self-guided walking tour of Vilnius?
Yes. You play it on your phone: the app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each one and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, so you can start whenever you like.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at Festival of Muses and finishes at Gedimino Tower, so it is not a loop. The route covers about 4.7 km through the Old Town and Užupis, with stops such as Cathedral Square, the Gates of Dawn and the Palace of the Grand Dukes along the way.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about 3.5 hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. You do not need to book a time slot, and you can pause at any point, for a coffee or a longer break, then continue later from where you stopped.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so couples, friends and families can follow the route on one phone and work through the puzzles as a team at their own pace, without joining a scheduled tour.
