L’esperienza
Informazioni su questa esperienza
Cologne is under a spell. Shadows slip through the streets, the cathedral burns with eerie light, and strange creatures stir in the streets. The High Mage has chosen you. If the city is to be saved, it is you who must do it.
Your mission: learn magic spells, fight dark creatures, gather relics of power, and brew the potion that will banish the darkness. With each step and every riddle solved, the city loosens the grip of its curse.
This is not just a walk. It is an escape game woven into the stones of the old town. Every clue you crack draws you closer to the last stand at the cathedral, where the fate of the city will be decided.
Will you have the courage to face the dark wizard and restore peace to Cologne?
Fa per voi?
Per chi è
Families with children around 8 to 12 and couples who enjoy a light fantasy game will spend about 80 minutes learning spells, solving riddles and gathering relics on a 2.8 km walk from the Malakoffturm past Groß St. Martin and the Heinzelmännchenbrunnen to the cathedral, with puzzles rated easy. If you want a genuine ghost tour of Cologne's grim history rather than a playful fantasy story, pick something else.

Domande frequenti
Is this escape game suitable for an 11-year-old?
Yes. It is rated easy and tagged family friendly, and the story has players learn spells, fight dark creatures, collect relics and brew a potion to lift a curse on the city. That suits children of roughly 8 to 12, ideally playing alongside an adult.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Malakoffturm and finishes at the Cathedral (Kreuzblume). Along the way it passes the Trinitatiskirche, Heumarkt, Alter Markt, Groß St. Martin, three fountains and the Roman city wall. It does not return to the starting point.
How long does it take and how far do you walk?
Most players take about 80 minutes, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 2.8 km through the Old Town, so comfortable shoes are a good idea. You can pause the game and continue later if you want a break.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together on a phone. There is no fixed time slot and no group to join, so you can start whenever you like and play at your own pace.
Is there a live guide?
No. The quest is self-guided on your phone: the app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets puzzles based on what is in front of you. Anyone who wants a person to ask questions should book a guided tour instead.
