Domande frequenti
Where does the Detroit Christmas scavenger hunt start and end?
It starts at the Michigan Science Center and loops back there at the end. Along the way it passes the Lewis College of Business historic site, the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Hellenic Museum of Michigan, the Skillman Building, the College for Creative Studies Library and the Scarab Club.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes to follow the trail through 12 locations, covering about 2.4 km on foot. You can pause the game whenever you like, for a hot drink or a warm-up indoors, and carry on later from where you stopped.
Is it good for kids?
Yes, it is built for laughs: kids help Ground Control solve puzzles, complete dares and collect the Elements of Spirit to restart Santa's sleigh. It suits children who can manage a 2.4 km walk and enjoy silly humour, with adults helping on the trickier puzzles.
Can we do it as an office Christmas party or team outing?
Yes. The dares and puzzles work well for coworkers and groups of friends, and one ticket covers your whole group, so you do not pay per person as with hosted city hunts. Everyone plays together on a phone as the app leads you from stop to stop.
Do we need to book a time slot, and what if it rains?
No time slot is needed. Start whenever suits your group, with no guide to meet. The walk between stops is outdoors, so dress for the weather, and if it turns cold or wet you can pause and finish another time.
