In the heart of Frankfurt, a sinister force is spreading, casting a shadow over the city's cultural soul. The dormant guardians of the Museumsufer, imbued with unique superpowers, are trapped in a deep slumber. Your group, chosen by fate, is the last hope for Frankfurt. You embark on a quest of challenges, awakening and assembling the guardians to confront the final enemy.

Families and groups of friends who like a story game will walk 2.6 km along Frankfurt's Museumsufer, from the Schirn past Portikus, the Städel and other museums to the Liebieghaus, solving puzzles to wake the sleeping guardians of each museum. It takes around 100 minutes outdoors, and no museum entry is needed. Anyone hoping to see inside the galleries with a guide, or to play after dark, should pick something else.

Where does the Museumsufer walk start and finish?
It starts at the Schirn Museum and finishes at the Liebieghaus, so it is not a loop. In between you pass Caricatura, Portikus, the Dreikönigskirche, the Museum Applied Art, the Museum of World Cultures, the German Film Museum, the Museum for Communication and the Städel Museum.
How long does the quest take?
Most players take around 100 minutes, so plan for 1.5 to 2 hours including walking and puzzles. The route covers about 2.6 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, which helps if you want a coffee break along the river.
Can we play the route from the Schirn at night?
It is recommended not to play at night. You can start any time you like, so choose daylight hours to see the museum buildings and the clues around them clearly before the story reaches its final enemy.
Do we need museum tickets or a booked time slot?
No attraction tickets are required, because the game is played outside the museums. There is no group to join and no guide, so you start whenever suits you. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on one phone.
