Yes. You play it on your phone with no guide and no group to join. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle there. You can start whenever you like, pause, and continue later.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Grădina Zoologică Hunedoara and finishes at Corvins' Castle, so it does not return to the start. Along the roughly 3.5 km route you pass places such as Casa de cultura, the Guild House Museum and the torture museum before reaching the castle.
How long does it take, and is there a best time to start?
Most players take about two hours, walking and puzzles included. There is no time slot to book, but the last part of the game might not be available after 4PM, so it is wise to begin late morning or early afternoon at the latest.
