Which haunted places in Savannah does this ghost walk visit?
In walking order: Mercer Williams House, Madison Square, Sorrel Weed House, Andrew Low House, Hamilton Turner Inn, Colonial Cemetery, Hundred 90, Marshall House, Moon River Brewing and the Waving Girl Statue. The app tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you.
Is this a ghost hunt where we go inside the haunted houses?
No. You see each house and site from the outside, and entering the places is not part of the experience. The hunting happens on your phone: you follow the clues, crack codes and solve puzzles using what you can see from the street.
Where does it start and finish, and how far is the walk?
It starts at the Mercer Williams House and finishes at the Waving Girl Statue, so it does not end where it began. The full route is about 3.4 km on foot through the city.
How long does it take, and do we need to book a time?
Most players take 1.5 to 2 hours, walking and puzzles included. There is no fixed slot to book and no group to join, so you can start whenever you like and pause to continue later.
Is it better at night, and can our group play together?
It is best played at night, and you may need your phone flashlight to spot some clues in the dark. Friends or couples playing together can share one ticket, which covers the whole group.
