Voor wie het is

Families, friends and history fans who would rather solve puzzles than follow a guide can spend about 75 minutes walking 1.4 km of Old Town, from Market Square past Gadsby's Tavern, Carlyle House and Captain's Row. Work teams wanting a free group outing fit well too. Pick something else if you want a live guide to question or an evening activity, as this route is meant for daylight.

Veelgestelde vragen

Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Market Square and finishes at The Old Presbyterian Meeting House, so it does not return to the start. In between you visit Gadsby's Tavern, Carlyle House, the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary, the Alexandria Waterfront and Captain's Row, in that order.
How long does it take and how far do you walk?
Most players take around 75 minutes, including the walking and the puzzles. The route covers about 1.4 km through historic Alexandria across seven stops, so it fits comfortably into a morning or afternoon.
Is this a good scavenger hunt for a corporate or team outing in Alexandria?
It can work well for teams interested in colonial and Revolutionary history. The game is free to play, everyone follows it on their phones, and you can start whenever suits your group, with no guide or booking slot needed. Plan on about 75 minutes outdoors.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking is needed. You start whenever you like, there is no group to join and no guide to wait for. If you need a break for lunch or a coffee along the way, you can pause the game and continue later from where you stopped.
Can we play it in the evening?
It is best played in daylight, and playing at night is not recommended. The puzzles rely on what you can see at each place along the route, so plan your walk for daytime hours to get the most out of the stops.
