You are called upon by your old friend, Lord Hermann, to deliver the cure. As a noble knight, you must navigate the town’s winding roads, solve puzzles, follow hidden clues, and face trials worthy of a tale—temptations, pirates, lowlands... even giants. Luckily, you may find help in the spirit of Don Quixote himself.

What is the Don Quixote quest in Benalmádena?
It is a self-guided outdoor puzzle game played on your phone. You play a noble knight asked by Lord Hermann to deliver a remedy created by Ibn Al-Baytar to Captain Isabella's shipwrecked crew. Along the way you solve puzzles and follow clues, with help from the spirit of Don Quixote.
Does the route pass the Windmill roundabout in Benalmádena?
Yes. The Windmill roundabout is the fourth stop, after El Bil-Bil Castle, the Ibn al-Baytar statue and the Paseo Maritimo. The app guides you there and on to the Stairs, the Sky Mosaic, Las Gaviotas and further along the coast.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
The quest starts at El Bil-Bil Castle and finishes at the Bridge in the Harbor, so it is not a loop. The route covers 2.4 km, and most players take about two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together on a phone. There is no set start time and no group to join, so you begin whenever you like. The route is open around the clock, though it is better played in daylight.
What should we bring, and can we pause?
The whole route is outdoors along the seafront, so wear a hat and sunscreen and carry enough water. You can pause the game at any point, stop for a break, and continue later from where you left off.
