Over deze quest
A sinister zeppelin flies over interwar Bucharest. Disgruntled workers from the Timpuri Noi factories mobilize workers from the factories on Filaret Hill. They head for the mayor. Will they be left with burning steam, or will they just come out of the furnaces?
Attention, the route is 5km! The zeppelin doesn't hit the same place twice, and it doesn't circle the same neighborhood. You can take a break when you like, with plenty of places to eat along the way, some even in authentic industrial locations.

Voor wie het is
Romanian-speaking locals curious about industrial Bucharest will get a walk of just under 5 km from Timpuri Noi across Filaret Hill, passing the Filaret power plant, Gara Filaret and the State Mint before ending at Palatul Bragadiru. A tale of rebellious workers under a sinister interwar zeppelin suits friends and couples with close to three hours to spare. Pick something else if you don't read Romanian, want a short stroll, or hoped to play after dark.

Veelgestelde vragen
What is the zeppelin quest in Bucharest about?
A sinister zeppelin hangs over interwar Bucharest while disgruntled workers from the Timpuri Noi factories rally the workers of Filaret Hill and march on the mayor. You follow the story on your phone through industrial streets, old factories and workers' houses, solving a puzzle at each place along the way.
Where does the route start and finish?
It starts at the Timpuri Noi pedestrian bridge on the Splai (Pod Pietonal Timpuri Noi Splai) and finishes at Palatul Bragadiru, so it does not return to the start. The route is about 4.7 km and takes in 15 stops, including Uzina Electrica Filaret, Gara Filaret, Monetaria Statului and The Ark.
How long does it take, and can we take breaks?
Most players need close to three hours, walking and puzzles included. You can pause whenever you like and continue later, and there are plenty of places to eat along the route, some of them in authentic industrial venues. Daytime play is recommended rather than at night.
Is the quest available in English?
No. The quest is available only in Romanian, so the story and the puzzles are all in Romanian. It works best for players who read the language comfortably, or for groups where at least one person can read and explain each clue to the others.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together on one phone. There is no time slot to book and no guide to meet: you start whenever you are ready at the Timpuri Noi bridge, ideally during daylight hours, since playing at night is not recommended.
